Vamos a la Playaaaa..

Those of you who carefully read my blog posts may have noticed that I had never been to the beach in Chile before. Well, I am am absolutely delighted to report that as of yesterday that changed! I love, and always have loved, the ocean. I love walking in the sand and listening to the waves and marveling at all the little creatures that creep out all my friends. I thought I would get to see the ocean eventually, but I never nagged about it because it felt selfish to ask for more than Rancagua, so I just kept quiet and hoped I would get to go eventually.
Saturday morning my dad knocked on my bedroom door and woke me up. In an excited voice, he asked me if I wanted to go to Pichilemu, a beautiful Chilean beach a few hours south of Rancagua, for the day. I was so happy about the sudden idea that I jumped up and hugged him! He then proceeded to tell me that he also thought it would be nice if I took a friend because I don't have any siblings. I was so stoked! I invited Katie and we spent the day with my family lounging on the beach, eating yummy seafood, and enjoying eachothers company.

This morning I got up early and Katie and I surprised my host parents by making them a big American pancake breakfast. They loved it and ate all the pancakes and I was so glad! After that, they found out my other gringos were going to Fantasilandia for the day and convinced into going with them. I was hesitant at first, but they told me that it would be good for me to go after all that's happened and let out some screams. I did and it felt amazing, actually. I'm not much of a screamer, but with all this stressful stuff happening lately it felt really good to have a good time with friends!
